Fitness Kickboxing has proven to be an extremely popular and effective method of getting in shape. But what exactly is Fitness Kickboxing? At Auburn Mixed Martial Arts we have known for years the benefits of Martial Arts training and we wanted to bring the physical benefits to people interested in a non-contact way of staying excited and energized about getting fit. Fitness Kickboxing combines the use of kicking, punching and striking with modern and safe fitness concepts. Fitness kickboxing classes are one hour in length and are offered at different times throughout the week. Each class involves kicking, striking and combination instruction, heavy bag workouts, toning, strengthening and stretching.
Similar programs to kickboxing have been criticized in the past by having fitness instructors with very little or no Martial Arts experience teaching improper techniques or the Martial Artist with no understanding of modern fitness concepts injuring beginners.
